The main goal of our induction project is to produce a self portrait in Photoshop.
First i had to draw quick portraits using the human proportional technique.
Then i learned how to draw portraits at different angles and points of view.
After that i had to choose a portrait that i liked and added a body to it to create a character.
Finally, i did a portrait of one of my peers during a time limit of 30 minutes.
13/09/17Today i went on a trip to the Birmingham museum and art gallery. I took some pictures of the artwork and sculptures that i liked and what i found interesting.
I liked this sculpture because of how detailed it was.
I liked this piece of artwork because the scenery is perfect and i love the colour section that was chose.
I like this sculpture cause it is very sci-fi looking and something i would be interested in drawing

In today's lesson i have created a sketch of a face trying to create a European skin tone on a face. My influence for this was sinix as he uses loose and rough sketches to build up skin tones. Today i used a different range of colours and manipulated them so i can make the skin tones as realistic as possible. This technique affected my design because it helped me to experiment with the different shades of colours. I could have used this technique more effectively by creating a little palette of colours that might work for my practice because i could test them all to see what would have worked best and would have been more suitable. With today's work i learned a lot more in terms of how to use Photoshop and to get out of my comfort zone when trying new activities such as creating skin tones. Whereas in last lesson i was able to explore the Birmingham art gallery and museum to find work that interests me and that i like the look of. What i would of done differently is too try and do more of a rougher and looser practice because it would give me a different perspective and i would be able to experiment more.

In today's lesson i created a more fine detailed drawing of African skin tones. I was influenced by sinix to do my drawing like this. For this i had to use Photoshop, it was suitable for me to use because it had a variety of colours and brushes for me to use. For this piece i used a wider spectrum of colours, ranging from greens, blues, reds and browns. this affected my design because it allowed me to use more fine detail and it took me a lot longer to get the skin to the right tones. I could of used this more effectively by adding in more highlights in the places where the light bounces. Today's work was similar to last sessions however i had to use more detail this time and a lot more thought went into where i was placing my colours and what colours i had to use. I would do the shading of the eye sockets differently because the eye is tilted up too high and i was unable to correct this after i did the detail for the other ares of the skin.

This lesson I have started to create my self portrait. The software I used was Photoshop and VLC media, these were suitable for my work because I used Photoshop to draw my self portrait and VLC media to record the process of my drawing. In this lesson I used the grid method so my drawing is accurate. Todays lesson was different to last lesson because I learned how to draw skin tones and today I learned how to add the grids onto Photoshop and how to record my process of drawing it.

In this lesson i have created a self portrait. To create my self portrait i used Photoshop and VLC media to record my process. The design techniques i used was a variety of brushes to blend my work together and i made myself a colour palette so i had something to go back too. Using this technique helped make my design look more realistic so my skin tones could blend together. Today's work is similar to last lessons however last lesson i did not have to create my speed paint video.
